About Dr. Nguyen
Dr. Diana Nguyen received her Honours Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry at McMaster University and then went to complete her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Nguyen went to Northern British Columbia for an externship where she was exposed to acute eye emergencies, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. She also co-managed post-cataract and post-PRK surgeries with ophthalmologists. Her rotation at the University of Waterloo taught her how to manage myopia and fit specialty contact lenses. Dr. Nguyen also trained in Brampton in advanced dry eye disease and glaucoma management. She enjoys practicing full scope optometry with a keen interest in dry eyes and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Nguyen welcomes patients of all ages and can communicate in Vietnamese. She keeps up to date with the latest research and education so she can provide the best care for her patients. Dr. Nguyen is also an adjunct clinical instructor where she teaches and supervises fourth year optometry students from the University of Waterloo. She is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Manitoba Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Nguyen has a commitment to volunteer work and went on a mission trip to Peru in 2018. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nguyen enjoys breaking a sweat, weight lifting and jamming to 90s/2000s hip hop and R&B.
